Hi, I'm Kayleigh,
a developmental editor, a writer, and a whole mix of other things.
My mum gifted me with a love of reading and writing from a young age; now I'm the woman you'd find as a protagonist in a romcom about writers. I drink a lot of tea, have a cat, can spend hours curled up with a book, and love to travel—via plane or via good storytelling.

I received my MFA in Writing from the University of New Hampshire and my MA in English from Salem State University. I’ve since worked on several small literary magazines, including producing a quarterly publication for a short time; edited in-progress books and career materials; and have coordinated marketing efforts for individuals, businesses, and events. Before returning to New Hampshire, I also taught university-level professional and advanced writing courses.
As an editor,
I have served as copy, line, and developmental editor on several writing projects, big and small. My passion and joy, though, are found in developmental editing, as I believe this is where authors and I can join for a true creative collaboration.
As a writer,
I enjoy exploring unknown, magical spaces through fantasy and speculative fiction, and have even dipped my toes into writing a fantasy/sci-fi novel for middle readers. My current WIP is a YA speculative/adventure novel that I am temporarily calling Hovel.
